Classes Offered

Beginners An 8-week course open to the Public and Club members. Pre-requisite dogs must be socialized and non-aggressive towards people and dogs. They should be in control at all times and kept on leash except when working. Dog must be able to respond to the basic commands of sit, down, stay/wait and come when called in the presence of people and dogs. Dogs must be appropriately vaccinated. Dogs will be introduced to the agility equipment in a non-stressful atmosphere. Emphasis will be on safety, confidence-building and accuracy. Following successful completion of the Beginners class, handlers are invited to continue by joining the club and enrolling in the next level. | Basic 1 and Basic 2 (open to Club members only) Each is an 8-week course. Pre-requisite successful completion of the Beginners class. Dogs and handlers will focus on improving performance of each obstacle and run short sequences requiring increased focus and confidence. Handlers will be introduced to various handling techniques. Pre-Requisites for Move Ups: Successful completion of each level from Beginners through the two Basic classes to Starters or Funagility at the instructors' discretion. Funagility (open to Club members only) Pre-requisite successful completion of Basic 2. Emphasis is on having fun in a safe, friendly atmosphere. A variety of instructors maintain the dynamic nature of this class. Competition Classes (open to Club members only) Emphasis is on handling techniques, problem solving, and the requirements for successful performance at each level of competition. Included are the most common agility games Gamblers, Jumpers, Snooker and Team Relay.
